How to: Winged Liner For Hooded Eyes
For all the people with hooded eyes, I feel your struggle. I also have hooded eyes and I think it’s difficult to apply winged liner. Here are the steps of winged liner for hooded eyes.
The drawing above is of my own eye shape, it’s not all the way open so you can see my eyelid better. As you can see there issn’t much lid space, the crease is also very low on the lid. These are typical aspects of a hooded eye.
1. Stay below the crease
This is probably the biggest mistake that people with hooded eyes make, they don’t stay below the line of the crease. This can make your eye look as if it has even less lid space, you also make the fact that you have hooded eyes stand out even more.
2. Follow your bottom lash line up
I always start with the wing, that’s just a habit of mine. It’s the prettiest if you follow your bottom lash line up, the blue dashed line is the example for that.
I’ll indicate where the eyeliner goes with the purple lines.
3. Drag your wing inward
You can make this line as straight or as curved as you want, as long as you stay below the crease line(s).
4. The rest of the line for the lid
The best way to finish the rest of the eye is to stay as close to the lash line as you can, this way you can still see most of your lid even though you’re wearing eyeliner. Your lid won’t look as hooded as it would with a thicker line.
Tadaaa! This is the finished look, I hope to have helped my fellow hooded eyed girls. Remember that everyone is unique and everyone is beautiful in their own way, regardless of their eye shape.
