Using The Nivea Aftershave Balm As A Primer
If you know the youtuber NikkieTutorials then you’d know that this is her favourite primer. Why shouldn’t you try it out? It’s very affordable and it’s supposed to be better than a lot of high end primers.
This “primer” is good for sensitive skin, has no alcohol in it, helps with dryness, redness, irritations and contains a lot of glycerin. Glycerin makes makeup stick to it, when I apply it I make sure to rub it in until it feels tacky. That’s when you know it’s ready to apply makeup on top of it.
I bought this product for €7,49, that’s way cheaper than a high end primer!
It looks milky and is very liquid, you can see on the photo that it started to run down on my hand. It also doesn’t have a strong smell to it, only a faint fresh manly smell.
I’ve been trying this product out for about two months now and I really like it! It does make a difference for my makeup because I’ve noticed that my blush and bronzer/contour doesn’t fade out through the day. I’ve also heard that it keeps people from getting shiny, but this didn’t work for me. I still got a little shiny as always… But that doesn’t matter because if you also use a mattifying primer along with the Nivea Aftershave Balm you got a perfect match!
The only thing that I don’t like about the product is the way you have to get it out of the glass bottle. You literally have an open hole on top of the bottle to get it out, but it gets messy and there’s no way to really control the amount of product that gets out. It would be way better if it came with a pump!
Have you tried out the Nivea Aftershave Balm as a primer yet? Let me know what you thought of it 🙂
