Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Gel Review
Hello guys! It’s been a while since I’ve done a blogpost, in this one I will give you my opinion about the much raved about Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Gel.
About the product:
This is an exfoliant with Salicylic Acid, it’s supposed to clean the skin and pores from the inside out instead of an exfoliant with beads in it to clean the surface of the face. This product also claims to help with aging, enlarged pores and wrinkles and is ment for normal to very oily skin.
I really like that it came with a pump, that’s usually the easiest way to use a product. The only thing is that one pump is way too much for your face so you need about half a pump. The rest of the packaging is quite simple, yet with a professional look.
My thoughts about the product itself:
So I’ve been using this product for about three months now and I have a couple of thoughts to share with you. First off I only applied it at night because it took way to long to sink into the skin to wear it in the morning with makeup on top of it.
But yes, after a couple of months I saw a clear difference in my pores. They did look way smaller than before but the problem is that this product made my skin very dry. On my oily areas it was all fine but in the areas that my skin is normal I now had dry patches and flakes all over.. That’s the main reason why I didn’t use it anymore.
With this you also need to wear a sunscreen because the Salicylic Acid makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. I just haven’t found the right daycream or serum with SPF in it because everything makes me oily, so that was also kind of annoying. If you also have oily areas and you love a sunscreen for your face, please comment what you use down below!
Overall I think I would recommend this product to other people, just not people that are not oily or tend to get a little drier on other areas on their face.
