My Trip To London
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I visited London for 6 days with my girlfriend. I just came back from the trip and I want to share how fun it was!
The hotel we stayed in is called Urban Villa, we found it online and we really liked the look of it. The hotel is located in Brentford which was a little far from the city centre (about 1,5 hour travel) but it was a great place to stay.

The people that worked there were very friendly. Our room had that home feeling and it was lovely to also have our own kitchen. We made our breakfast every day and we even cooked diner a couple of times. We didn’t have the best view because we were on de first floor but I can imagine what a great view you could have.
The British Museum
We didn’t want to only go shopping there but also do some cultural stuff. So we went to the British Museum there. They mostly have Egyptian and Roman/Greek statues and art, we both really love that kind of art.
This is what the front of the museum looks like, it looks very beautiful and it’s massive. It was pretty crowded but we didn’t have to wait long in line to get in. The entrance is free, you only need to wait in line to have people check your bags.
When we arrived in the building there was a massive hall with great architecture, a glass ceiling and lots of pretty art. It was a great place to take photo’s.
The art there was very impressive, there were pieces that were so big that I wondered how in the world they got it in there. If you visit Londen, please consider going to this museum, I loved every bit of it.
The city centre
We did spent a lot of the time at Oxford Street and other big shopping streets. There are a lot of shops that we didn’t have in The Netherlands like All Saints, And Other Stories and different kinds of makeup stores. We didn’t buy many clothes because a lot of the clothing was similar to clothing that we could get at home. But the makeup brands that they had there… I wasn’t expecting that!
The makeup brands that they had were Makeup Forever, Stila, Pixi, Hourglass, Kat von D, Cover FX, Too Faced and Becca. I was so excited when I found those products in the stores! I bought a lot of makeup and there’s a haul coming up soon so you can see all the goodies I’ve bought 🙂
We decided to only eat at places that we didn’t know before, a friend of us recommended Nando’s. Which is a place where you can mostly eat chicken dishes. We liked that place a lot so we ate there a couple of times. I also had a traditional Vietnamese dish that’s called Pho for the first time in my life, the restaurant is in Soho and is very famous for their Pho. It tasted delicious and I’ll definitely want to try it at more places. http://www.phocafe.co.uk
Places you must see in London
The Big Ben is a huge statement of London, it’s simply a must to see it. It’s very impressive as well, take a lot of pictures!! The London Bridge is also nearby, you can take beautiful pictures on that bridge where you can see the London Eye in the background.
The red phone cells and red buses are also very famous in London. We went a lot with the bus and it’s a great way to admire London on the go.
It was a lot of fun to get to visit London again, I hope that this post can help you if you’re planning to visit the beautiful city.
