5 Fitness Motivation Tips
We all have struggles with finding motivation to go to the fitness. I’ve also been guilty of rather wanting to stay in bed in the morning than to get up and going for a work out. Here are some tips on how to boost your fitness motivation!
1. What do you want to achieve
Think about what you’d like to improve about your body. Do you want to lose weight, gain muscle or work on your endurance. This way you’ll know when you get closer to your goal, which is important for the next step.
2. Keep up with your accomplishments
The next step is to keep up with your accomplishments to know when you’ve made progress. Weigh yourself often, note how much weight you were able to push back on the leg press or time how long you can run. A big fitness motivation is noticing a difference in your body!
3. Invest in some nice workout clothes
I used to go to the gym in sloppy sweat pants and an old T-shirt and it made me feel like crap about myself. I felt stupid to even walk into the gym. It all changed when I decided to step up my game and buy some nice fitness clothes. Believe me, it will boost your confidence and your motivation!!
4. Follow some inspirational accounts on social media
When you see work out related content you’ll get reminded by your goal and it will motivate you. There are a lot of different options, you won’t necessarily have to follow fitness models. There are also accounts that help with food, clothing or different workouts.
Remember that every body is different and every body carries weight differently. Don’t compare yourself with all the “perfect” selfies of those fitness babes because it’s partially smoke and mirrors.
Anna Victoria made these pictures and smashed the expectations of a fit body. She’s a huge fitness inspiration on instagram, under this post she quoted the following sentence: “I love both photos equally. Good or bad angles don’t change your worth.” I thought that was so beautiful and inspirational!
Experiment a little to prevent getting bored with the same work out over and over again. I sometimes do more cardio and other times I’ll do more training for my strength. You can also follow group lessons, work out with a friend or try some exercises.
