Empties & Disappointing Products
Hello my lovely followers! Today I’m going to show you al of the products that I used up and the disappointing products that I decided to throw out.
I’ve been collecting my empty products for a few months now, it’s finally time to show you all the things that I tried out! Let’s start with the empties….
Garnier Micellar Water (for sensitive skin)
I’ve tried out quite a few Micellar waters and this one is by far the best drugstore one I’ve tried! It gets makeup right off and doesn’t leave any residu on my face. I’ve also heard famous youtubers compare it to the Bioderma Micellar water, which is also a hyped up product that I’d like to give a try. Recently they’ve come out with a mattifying version of this micellar water, I’d like to try that one too!
This retails for only €6,49
Rituals Yogi Flow Shower Foam
The next product that I used up is this heavenly shower foam from Rituals, it smells great and feels very soft. The smell also lingers on your skin but doesn’t compete with other smells like your perfume or deodorant. I’ve also used the himalaya scrub that smells the same and I loved that one too! I can’t show it because I threw the empty packaging away…
The shower foam retails for €8,00 and the scrub retails for €19,50.
Schwarzkopf Reflex-Silver ShampooNext are two bottels of my favourite silver shampoo that I’ve used up. Since I’ve got my hair bleached to get that nice balayage effect I need silver shampoo in my life. If you don’t know what a silver shampoo is, it’s basically a shampoo that gets the yellow/orange tones out of your hair if you have blonde or bleached hair. I really like this one because you can see the difference after just one wash, with other silver shampoo’s I’ve experienced that you need to keep using it in order to see a difference after a week or so.
This product is €5,69 a bottle.
Andrélon Keratine Repair Every Day 1-Minute Hairmask
Another product that I keep buying for my hair, as you can see I tried to squeeze out every last drop. It’s this mask from Andrélon! This makes my hair silky smooth and very manageable. It also has a great smell and retails for only €4,99.
Maybelline Lash Sensational MascaraIf you read this blogpost of mine you might know that I completely fell for this mascara, if you’d like to read the full review you can click on the link. They also released an intense black version that I also really like! The price of this product is €15,49.
Those were all my empties, now let’s move on to the disappointing products…
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
Yes… I know everybody raved about this product, it wasn’t bad, it’s just not what I’m looking for in a mascara. When I used this my lashes would look more natural and whispier if you know what I mean, there wasn’t as much volume and blackness as my Maybelline Lash Sensational would give me. I did like using this mascara on top of other mascara’s to seperate my lashes more and remove clumps. I guess I liked the brush but just not the formula. This mascara retails for €26,00 but I got this sample for free when I purchased something at Douglas.
Rimmel Supercurler 24HR Mascara
I simply did not like this mascara, it’s clumpy, it transfers and just did not look good on my lashes. I also prefer a plastic mascara wand instead of the natural bristles because the plastic ones separate my lashes better.
This mascara retails for €13,99.
L’oreal Matte Lipstain This was a very unusual product, there’s powder inside that you apply to your lips by using the sponge tip. I actually have two shades of this, this red one and a bright purple one. This red one has more pigment than the purple one but I’d just rather wear lipsticks than these weird lipstains. That’s just a personal preference. This product retails for €15,99
Biodermal Micellar Water (for sensitive skin)
This is one of the micellar waters that I tried out and didn’t like at all. This felt very chemical and left a sticky residu on my face. It also didn’t remove my makeup nearly as good as the Garnier micellar water AND it stung my eyes when I tried to remove eyemakeup with it…
This shitty product retails for €12,49
L’oreal Micellar Water (for sensitive skin)
This is the next disappointing micellar water that I’ve tried, it felt like I was just using water on a cotton pad. It didn’t remove my makeup as good as the Garnier one.
It retails for €6,29.
Herôme Nail Hardener Strong
The final disappointing product is this nail hardener from Herôme, it did make my nails harder but they still broke… And when I stopped using it my nails got even weaker… I just wanted to mention the Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener
because I like this way more! It made my nails stronger instead of harder. They don’t break as easily as before and even if I only use it as a base coat now, I still have stronger nails than I did before.
