Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review
Many people started to use a cleansing balm to remove their makeup, the last couple of months I’ve been trying this one out from Clinique. Here are my thoughts about it.
The first time that I tried this balm it was weird to use a balm on my face, it didn’t feel natural to me. You start with applying the balm on your dry face, then you rub it in good and after that you wash it off with warm water. De balm felt like butter to me, when you touch it it also starts to melt a little.
Whenever I use this product, the makeup just melts off. It doesn’t matter how much makeup is on my skin. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, foundation and even lipstick is melted right off. When you wash it off using warm water, the balm transforms into a feeling of a cleansing milk. This product felt very nourishing and not aggressive at al, it also didn’t leave an oily residue on my skin when I washed it off. Quite surprising actually, since the product is mostly based on greasy ingredients. The only thing that I didn’t like is that it leaves this weird film over my eyes when I’ve rubbed in over my closed eyes to remove my mascara. Because of that I can’t see clearly for a short time, when I wash my face again with an other facial cleanser it is gone.
Here is the list of ingredients, it mostly contains greasy products (which is quite logical because it’s a balm). It also doesn’t contain perfume and parabens.
I’ll definitely use this product more often, especially when I have a lot of makeup on. It just makes it so easy to remove makeup!
