10 Things I Love About Winter
Even though I like summer more there are also some things I really love about winter, and I bet you love them too!
1. Cozy sweaters
Yes. I am talking about the soft, warm and comfortable sweaters out there! I love turtle necks the most because they keep your neck warm (obviously) but they also cover up a double chin. And of course the sweater dresses or just oversized ones.
2. Hot drinks
Tea is my favourite hot drink at the moment, I love flowery tea but also fruit tea! A good coffee with an interesting added flavour like caramel or chocolate is also very good, or just a good hot cocoa with whipped cream….. Yummy
Don’t get me wrong, I like to burn candles all year long but there’s something about a vanilla scented candle on a cold day. (Btw. the candle on the photo is NOT a vanilla scented candle, I just took a photo of it because it looks pretty).
Or as I like to call them; Booties! They’re my favourite type of shoe to wear in the winter. I love heeled boots, flat boots, laced boots, all of them.
5. Taking a hot shower/bath
Not only taking them, but also using nice shower/bath products while you’re in there! I especially love this Rituals scrub
6. Staying inside
If it’s cold outside I like to do nothing more than to stay inside and just relax with a good book and a cup of tea. My current favourite books are The Darkest Minds series from Alexandra Bracken. Seriously. If you’re a huge fantasy/young adult book lover, check it out Buy the book at this link!
7. The first snowfall
It doesn’t matter what you’re doing at that time, if you notice that it’s snowing for the first time you take a little time to look out of the window and admire it.
8. Cozy pajama’s
A nice and warm pajama makes a world of a difference, I bought this lovely christmas pajama bottom at H&M.
9. Fluffy socks
And not only for inside, sometimes I also have them on when I wear boots. And let me tell you, you’ll never have cold feet again!
My favourite holiday of the year, just spending it with loved ones is enough. But a little decoration never hurts 🙂
